Has anyone tried logging for multiple QSO Parties at once?  Preferably with N1MM or DXLab/DXKeeper.  (This weekend are the Area 7 and Area 1 [New England] and Delaware and Indiana QSO Parties, not to mention a contest for working Italian provinces!)  For once I’d like to figure out how to set up my logger before the day of the contest(s).  I don’t want to run two different loggers at once, since only one can control the rig at a time (AFAIK).

DXLab can include a contest name for each QSO logged. This might help you do what you want to o Aron.

Of course, it’s done all the time. Hunting stations in one QSO party gets boring after you’ve worked all those you can find. It make it more interesting to be working several QSO parties at once. See:

            Aron,

N1MM supports the Indiana QSO party, 7-land QP, and the NEQP all in one.  Open the “new log in database” link from the FILE tab of N1MM.  Select “QSOparty” from the contest menu in the upper left.  On the left side, there is a drop-down tab to select the various QSO parties.  Scroll down until you find one that says “IN7QPNE” and continue to fill out the rest of the information on the page.  IN7QPNE will allow you to jump around among the three contests.

              Thanks, everyone!

If you are located WITHIN New England, you cannot use “IN7QPNE” that is for stations located OUTSIDE those states. You MUST use QSO party and select NEQP. This logs QSOs for NEQP but does NOT preclude you from  contacting stations in the other QSO parties!

BTW, I will be operating the weekend using special callsign N1E. — Layne AE1N

N1MM seems to be working well.

IMHO it would be nice if the QSO parties would all decide together to put either the state first or the county first (or allow them in either order). But I have no idea though how much software would have to be changed!

It’ll be interesting to see how the software sorts out multiple contacts, once during another state’s QSO party and then later in the day in ours. I could have just worked the intersecting times but I think that it would limit me to 7 hours and leave out the daylight hours.
