I am a new operator, upgraded from Tech to Extra last week and would like to get on HF and start listening and learning beyond the exams. As everyone knows and I have found out this hobby is not cheap. I’d prefer to buy a new rig but since I’ve never been on HF I don’t know what I want or need. I would like to get something to get started, looking at used but also don’t want to regret a used purchased once I start using it. Any chance someone has old equipment collecting dust that you would be willing to loan or donate. If donation I promise to pass it along to another new ham when I upgrade.
