Fred,
Under the banner of ‘Elmering’, can you expand upon your comment “without a significant rework of the network’s IP system”?
I’m just curious what specifically would need to be changed.
Thanks,
Ryan
Hello Ryan,
I don’t know the details of what is required – just relay what we are hearing from the folks who run the repeater system. We did confirm that EchoLink from PC clients (ie a Windows PC) does work fine.
I was poking around this morning with iPad Echolink and connected to N1IMO-R ?!!!? Hooray !!!
Tried iPhone and connected OK.
Please let Bernie know that the guy in Florida thanks him a thousand times.
Will be trying out iPhone connection on tonight’s repeater net.
Fingers, arms, legs, and eyes are crossed hoping it will work.
Many thanks to everyone who helped make it work.
Good luck – and stay safe.
It looks like the N1IMO-R Echolink port is now working for iPhones and Apple devices. THANK YOU BERNIE!
For reasons unknown, I could not connect with my iPhone (timeout) yesterday during boot camp not today. Then I tried EchoTest (which used to work) and that also failed. I finally deleted the app from my phone and re-installed. Of course I could not find the password or even the email address I had used, so I had to validate again, but that took only 10 minutes or so.
And now it is working fine! And btw, for those with a new Mac using Apple Silicon, the iPhone app works fine on that as well.
