The ham radio community is mourning the loss of Elwood Downey, WB0OEW, while simultaneously rallying together to preserve his incredible legacy. There are so many solitary heroes in the ham radio community who give their time and talents on tools that connect us all together. Elwood was one of those heroes—a developer who created HamClock, an essential tool that has graced ham shacks around the world, providing operators with propagation data, solar conditions, DX spots, and so much more.
