We will be launching the High Altitude Balloon, HAB-4 on Sunday, June 9th from Hollis-Brookline High School.
We will meet at Hollis Brookline High School at 9:00 am for setup and will plan to launch between 10:30 am and 11:00 am. After the launch, we will go to Fred and Anita’s QTH to track the HAB.
We will continue to monitor the conditions to make sure they still favor a launch from Hollis. Stay tuned to this forum for any last minute changes.
From the prediction software, it looks like it will land in Sudbury Ma, very close to our QTH in Wayland, MA
Can you confirm this ?
If so, Alice W1ASZ and I will go down to Wayland Saturday afternoon and help with the recovery.

Warren,
The predicted landing site has been varying but the current prediction is near Marlboro. If you want to help with the recovery, the best way would be to contact Jamey Finchum, AC1DC (email: [email protected]) He will be driving the recovery vehicle and will be monitoring the HAB location over APRS. If you contact him, you can meet up with him when he heads to the recovery site.

Anita, AB1QB
We are GO for launch from Hollis-Brookline HS tomorrow morning. Launch preparations will begin at around 9 am.
