Greetings from the Sunshine State! (Really sunshine – we’re having a drought.)  The 20th edition of the Florida QSO Party kicks off the weekend of April 29-30, starting at noon EDST on the 29th.  Members of the Florida Contest Group ramp up for this one.  To date, 15 mobile operations are planned.  Since there is no mud season and Frost doesn’t get sick down here and the roads are flat, they go out with a vengeance.   In addition, there will be 20 1×1 special calls to spell out FLORIDA SUN (e.g., W4F, K4F, W4L, K4L, W4O, K4O) to chase down.  Look for your truly as a fixed station from Marion county.  I will be mostly CW but will try SSB on Sunday if conditions are right.

I encourage you to give a listen and work us.  I look to return the favor for the New England QSO Party the first weekend in May.

        Ed,

We will be teaching an Extra class that weekend.  We’ll have a station setup for demos so we’ll try to listen for you.
