Anita and I are getting ready for our Mobile HF vacation today. I decided to give a Mobile CW QSO a try. Since it was the first one, I did it parked in my driveway to be safe. Worked KC0CCR, Randy in KS using our portable key. It was pretty cool to do this from the mobile. The key is going along with us on our trip and we’re planning to make some more CW contacts from the mobile during our trip.
Plans include activating 10 or so counties and 4 National Parks (3 in the US and 1 in Canada). We are planning to operate using our own call signs for most of this trip but we will try to make 10-15 QSOs in each National Park as N1FD to give our club call red for some more activations.
We hope to work folks in our club. We’ll post here on the website as we go.

Great job Fred – Your example should encourage others in the Morse Code class to get some On-The-Air CW QSPs into their logs.
Have a safe trip and enjoy All of the CW contacts.
