I saw an article from a member about what is involved a using digital hotspot abd of course can’t find it. I’m interested in device options and potential costs for Windows 10 and Raspberry Pi4b.

I wrote an article several months ago about experimenting with Digital Voice using what is called a Jumbo Hotspot, comprising of the MMDVM and a Raspberry Pi boards and running the Pi-Star program. It only operated on the UHF band, as I recall.
The prices of this units runs between about $ 75 to $ 100 depending on who you buy them from. I bought mine off of Ebay from a Chinese source for $ 74 and it took about 2 weeks to arrive. You can buy them from US distributors, ready to ship immediately, closer to the $ 100.
The one I bought required you to provide your own 5v power supply.
