Dave Casler – KE0OG has a couple of helpful  Youtube videos that provide some good background information on the CW Renaissance and another one on The Anatomy of a CW QSO.

The QSO link will explain the simplest form of a CW exchange and will serve as an excellent guide on what to expect during a basic CW QSO.

In looking at Dave’s video’s – I noted that he has one that gives a good explanation of the CW zero-beating process to align your transmitter to the signal you want to reply to.  Dave also discusses the use of the RIT control in this video, to follow the other station without moving your transmit frequency after you have started a QSO.
