Did you know you can configure which email messages that you receive about activity on our website? It’s easy to do this.

First, you need to log in to n1fd.org using your call sign and password. Once you are logged in, you’ll see your name in the left sidebar of our website. Here is what it looks like when I am logged in:

Move your mouse over your name (it’s a link to your user profile) and click. This will take you to your user profile where you can change your settings. Here’s what my user profile looks like:

Now click on the Edit choice to change your profile settings. This will take you to an area where you can change your email settings. My email settings look like this:

We recommend that you enable digests (these are summaries of items posted in our forums) and you elect to receive digest updates on a daily basis. This will ensure that you will learn about any changes in meetings or activities and that you learn about new content or messages at the end of each day via a summary email from our website. Our site only sends these daily digest messages if there is a new forum post that day. Most users will probably want to turn off the “Still get notified of new topics/replies as soon as they are created.” option. Turning this option on causes our website to send you an email message as soon as anyone posts in one of the forums on our website.

We are configuring all new member accounts on n1fd.org this way. If you have any questions about setting your email options, you can reach me at [email protected].

We are going to turn the “Still get notified of new topics/replies as soon as they are created.” option OFF for all of our current members. This will take us a few days to complete.

If you are active in the mentoring activities that take place here in our forums, we recommend you go into your profile and turn this option back ON so that you continue to be notified about questions and comments that others are posting in our forums as soon as they are posted.

We have completed turning OFF the “Still get notified of new topics/replies as soon as they are created.” option for all of our current members.
