First HF Contact at Bootcamp[/caption]
The first session of Ham Radio Bootcamp is this Saturday, October 26th!
Ham Radio Bootcamp is a program to help new or inactive Hams to get on the air. It is open to any Ham or prospective Ham who wants to learn.
Here are the topics we will cover on Saturday:

- Repeater Net – we will hold an actual repeater net using Baofeng HTs
- HT Programming – Bring your HT (from the list below) and we will program it with area repeaters
- EchoLink – Get on the air and talk over a repeater using your smartphone or PC!
- Station/Antenna Farm Tour
- Tour a contest station with 2 (soon to be 3) towers, yagi antennas for all HF bands, and an automated Satellite station.
- Satellite Operating – make contacts through LEO Satellites orbiting the earth.
- 6 Meters – make contacts on the “Magic Band” where Technicians have full privileges
If you have one of the following HTs, bring it along and we will program it with area repeaters:
