Data Network Test at HMS[/caption]
Preparations for our ISS Crew Contact are continuing. Today, we were at Hudson Memorial School to work with the IT team there to get test our data networking gear working on the network at the school.

Data System for ISS Contact[/caption]
The diagram above shows the Data System that we tested. Our test was a success.
We did a short Livestream Video to the N1FD Facebook page from the school to check out the video feed element of our Data System.
The only issue that we found was related to the IP Video Camera which will be located outdoors at our satellite antennas. Our initial try involved a WiFi-based camera but the area by our antennas does not have good enough WiFi coverage to work. We will be replacing this camera with PoE powered, wired camera and we’ll test that when the new camera arrives tomorrow.
A few odds and ends remain to be verified based upon what we’ve learned during our station tests. The next big milestone will be the setup and testing of our station on site at Hudson Memorial School next Wednesday, November 28th. We plan to Livestream that part of our project as well. Stay tuned for more updates!
