I see the value of the AREDN system for several types of Public Services including:
1. Monitoring of Dry Season Red Flag Alerts with smoke and fire early detection via our remote cameras.
2. Backup (Alternate) Internet connections to our remote radio sites.
3. AdHoc mesh networking for supporting local Special Events.
My own interest is in the building of the microwave RF sites and monitoring the RF propagation reliability via the Grafana Dashboard.
