Just added another RasPi to the Pi Farm I’ve been working on. With Burns’ (WB1FJ) debugging help, I got a RasPi FoxTelemetry Station (a.k.a. Fox in a Box) up and running with a RTL-SDR dongle. Now just waiting for AO-85, 91, or 92 to pop up. FoxTelem is all set for auto decoding, when the satellites are above the horizon.
Farm now consists of (see pic below):
- RasPi_FoxTelem = RasPi3B+, RTL-SDR, FoxTelem SW
- RasPi_WxSat = RasPi3, NooElec SDR, WxtoImg SW
- RasPi_APRS-TNC = Running APRS on RasPi2, BaoFeng VHF/UHF for now, Xaster SW
- All RasPi’s are headless and remote log-in capable via VNC
- FoxTelem and WxSat are hooked up to QH Antenna via splitter.
- TNC/APRS is just on a low 2m vertical dipole that I need to raise up.
- The WxSat station auto-tweets to @RasPi_WxSat and auto-sends images to a WB1GOF maillist.
I found a nice kitchen cabinet panel front to mount everything to and hang in the garage wall to free up my workbench. Working on that next.
