There are 4, yes 4, foxes loose in Nashua this weekend!
The large foxes (2) are transmitting on 146.595 and 146.565.
The medium fox is transmitting on 146.535 and the micro fox is transmitting on 146.505.
Please DO NOT CONTINUE READING if you don’t want any hints!!
All four foxes are located in Mines Falls Park in Nashua.

All the foxes are very close to the trail – no bushwacking – and are within 2-3 steps of the trail. Since they are so close to the trail they are fairly well hidden, but if you are close look for obvious spots where you would hide a fox. Look for hollow logs or trees, a landmark that stands out or something that looks out of place.
You should be able to hear the large foxes from almost anywhere in Nashua. The medium one (146.535) should also be able to be heard from any of the other foxes. The micro fox (146.505) is much harder to hear. I could not hear it on my handheld (without a directional antenna) from 2 of the foxes, but could hear it from the fox that is closest to it.
If you want to borrow equipment or need more hints just post here and I will be happy to help out.
Happy hunting!

Hope everyone has fun with the foxes!

Located on large rock @ Sucker Field. No fox heard. Bribed 3 Chipmonks with granola bar. All died before coughing up info. Located 2 PokeMons. Both neutralized. Found one Groundhog. Invited him for dinner. Main course. He stole a granola bar and escaped. Still no Fox. Calling Scotty to beam me up????

July 2, 2018 at 8:49 pm #48874Found “Fox zero” using rubber ducky antenna on Saturday afternoon about 1:30 PM. Hunted “Fox 1”, was very close, but could not see the Xmtr. I had it bracketed, looked high and low, but no joy. I was going to go back on Sunday, but changed my mind about hunting in the heat. Thank you Jamie for setting and collecting the foxes.
Frank, N1GDD
P.S. I didn’t see any other “hounds” while I was there.
