Minutes from the June 24th Executive
Board meeting and the July 10th Club Meeting

June 24th Bored meeting

Attending the abbreviated meeting held at the Field Day Site were Don, K1EER, Spi, K1CWZ, Dave, KW1DX, Mark, N1ZYZ, Colleen, N1HAJ, and Neil, N1DMA.

The meeting was called to order at 3:55pm by president Don, K1EER. Last month’s minutes were accepted as printed.

Treasurer, Mark N1ZYZ, reported that no specific activity had taken place. Report was accepted by the board.

Membership, Dave, N1SUE, was not present but it was understood that many new/existing members were paying their dues during Field Day. Activities, Colleen, N1HAJ, reported that tee-shirt sales have been continuing at a good pace.

Programs, Neil, N1DMA, reported that an Auction Night for the October meeting is being planed and that the board will need to review the plans and procedures for the auction during the August Board meeting. Possibilities for a ‘Stump the Experts Night’ for the September meeting.

Training, Spi, K1CWZ, reported that the training class for the fall, is in the early planning stages with no problems.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:15pm.

July 10th Club meeting

At 7:03 PM the meeting was called to order by President Don, K1EER, and was followed by introductions. Don thanked all for their participation in Field Day.

A motion was made and approved to accept the secretary’s report as printed.

Treasurer, Mark, N1ZYZ, reported that the club maintained a current balance of $3,457.39 and that we are currently ahead of budget by $83.48. An additional line item has been entered on the budget to track extra expenses from the tee-shirt sales which are expected to be offset by sales. A motion was made and approved to accept the report.

Programs Director, Neil, N1DMA, announced the fall schedule of programs. The current club roster was reported as 182 members in good standing.

Colleen, N1HAJ, Activities Director, announced that no current activities are planned for the rest of the summer and that of 72 tee-shirts purchased there are 38 left.

Field Day Summary: Tear-down was completed early Sunday evening with no problems and no injuries for the weekend, On 75 phone and 20 CW unofficial new records were set; unofficial total score 19,326 (missing 20 PSK31 Q’s); lots of new people operating and helping with set-up and tear-down; suggestion made for possible acquisition of a 3rd gin pole and 2nd 40 meter beam; Neil N1DMA thanked whoever cleaned up the area afterwards and that the school was pleased. Most of the left over food was donated to the Nashua food bank and Nashua Children’s Home.

New Business: Fletch, N1MEO, announced that Field Day 2001 will be held on June 23rd and 24th, setup on Friday June 22nd.

At 8:00pm a motion was made to adjourn which was promptly seconded.
