The Secretary's ReportMinutes from the January 26th ExecutiveBoard meeting and the February 1st Club Meeting

In the absence of President Mike Graham, the meeting was called to order by Tracy Banks, N1WIR, at 7:09 PM.
Membership coordinator, Tracy, N1WIR, called for the acceptance of the report of the previous month’s board meeting. Chris, K1SI, moved and Ken, KE1GI, seconded a motion accepting the report.
Secretary Chris, K1SI, reported that there was no correspondence.
Treasurer Mark, N1ZYZ, was not in attendance; no Treasurers report was given.
Membership coordinator Tracy, N1WIR, reported the current membership stands at 162 members in good standing.
Activities director Ken, KE1GI, stated that there are plenty of T-shirts left. Ken will also explore the possibility of selling T- shirts via mail order and shipping the shirts to club members or whomever would like to purchase a shirt but may not be able to pick it up conveniently. Implementation, shipping costs, and mail/web order forms are still in the planning stage and more details will follow in the future.
Training chairman Ed, K2TE, was not present and no report was given.
Programs director Gary, W1GRY, reported that Jim Belanger, N1NH, would be making a presentation on Traffic Handling at the February meeting. The topic for the March meeting is still open at this time, however Gary does have Joe Reisert, W1JR, of Antennaco in mind and needs confirmation. Gary stated that he has a few perspective topics and presenters for future meetings.
There was no report for ARES/RACES.
Under old business, it was noted that the perspective new Field Day site has still yet to be surveyed and the FD site committee needs to be made aware of this so a report may be given to the Board of Directors.
Under new business, Secretary Chris, K1SI, noted that he did not have the combination to the P.O. box. He stated that this would be helpful in keeping up with correspondence which may come to the club. The rest of the Board of Directors were in agreement. Chris will contact the proper person and obtain the combination. Also under new business, we noted the lack of volunteers in the advertising department. Currently the only person on line for advertising responsibilities is Mary Jane Warren, WA4WIJ, and she would like some help. Secretary Chris, K1SI, noted that he has obtained one new advertiser and is going to be pursuing more leads shortly.
On a motion made by Ken, KE1GI, and seconded by Gary, W1GRY, the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 PM.
The Classy Junque drawing was held by David Banks, N1XOT. The winners were KI1X, KB1DOQ, WA4WIJ, N1YDJ, N1ZYY, N1SUE, KB1DOO, N1ZYZ, WW1Y, KE1KT, KA1GOZ, AND K1OJA.
Programs director, Gary Chevalier, W1GRY, announced Jim Belanger, N1NH. Jim made a presentation on NTS Traffic handling via CW nets. Jim used audio tapes demonstrating the CW nets, as well as describing them with the aid of and overhead projector for those who may not have been able to keep up with the CW.
Secretary Chris Garon, K1SI, reported that there was no correspondence, and the minutes of the previous months meeting were accepted as published on a motion made by Chris, K1SI, and Gary, W1GRY.
Treasurer Mark Wagner, N1ZYZ, reported that the account balance as of February 1st, 1999 was $3101.00 and that report was accepted on a motion made by Don, KA1GOZ, and seconded by Jim, WW1Y.
Membership coordinator Tracy Banks, N1WIR, was not present. The membership report was given by her brother Dave, N1XOT. Dave reported 162 members in good standing.
Activities director Ken McAlister, KE1GI, advised that there were still T-shirts left and that the price was $12.00.
Training coordinator Ed Deichler, K2TE, had no new information to report. Activities coordinator Gary Chevalier, W1GRY, reported that the March program was confirmed, and that Joe Reisert, W1JR, of Antennaco would be making a presentation on the design, and manufacturing of antennas. Gary also stated that the program for April has not confirmed yet, and that there is nothing lined up for May. The June topic is Field Day.
There was no report for ARES/RACES.
GOTAP coordinator Mark Wagner, N1ZYZ reported that Milford H.S. is looking to put together a Radio Club and is looking for donations and support. To help this effort, contact either Mark Starin, KB1KJ, at Milford H.S. side, or Mark N1ZYZ. There was no old business to discuss. Under new business, Jim Heedles, WW1Y, noted that there would be a VE session at the First Church in Nashua on February 27, at 9 AM. Jim also noted that in the June 1999 issue of QST, there would be an article entitled “Please Copy 26 Alpha New Hampshire” which will detail the NARC FD events. Also noted, Hayward's Ice Cream will open for the season on February 13. Gary, W1GRY, asked if anyone would be interested in forming a group within the club for people who are interested in kit building. If interested, contact Gary directly. Rex Lint, K1HI announced that the YCCC DX club would be holding a meeting in Nashua, at the Coyote Cafe on Main St. February 16th, at 7:00PM
Mike Graham, K7CTW noted that he would be putting N1FD on the air for the NH QSO Party and that people interested in operating or helping should contact him.
