“Talk about stealing the show…”

It’s that time of year again to steal a fraction of NARC meeting time to show off your latest kit, Classie Junque modification, home brew project, or bottom feeder rescue from the scrap yard. I will personally be exhibiting one of my latest projects, a QRP kit that I have been constructing. There has been a resurgence of new kit builders in the amateur community. I’ll be sharing this and more with you. The meeting schedule allows about an hour for all presentations. The rules of the evening are simple; just show up and plan to spend about five to ten minutes talking about your project. Of course, your time slot adjusts depending on the number of presenters. Just show up a few minutes early to get organized. Should be fun!

Last month’s meeting was awards night. A special congratulation is in order for all those individuals who have contributed their dedicated mental and physical best to the club in the recent year. If you missed it, the highlights include our illustrious leader K7CTW. NARC awarded Mike with the eight ball award for admitting to burning up dipole insulators in the trees in his back yard and drawing neighborhood attention. (Rumors have it that it was a 5-alarmer, but of course this is just rumor.)

Congratulations are also in order for the new NARC board members. Special thanks go to the retiring board members. They have all done a superb job in leading the club this past year. NARC can be proud of them.

Remember, your favorite topics can be next month’s program! Come visit with us and bring some ideas for new programs.

You don’t have to be a member of the club to share in the fun. Join us at the Nashua Public Library for this meeting of the Nashua Area Radio Club.

See you at the meeting! de Gary, W1GRY
