On a motion by George, WA1DEI, seconded by Jack, WB4MDC, the minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as published. The motion carried.
Treasurer George, WA1DEI, reported a club balance of $2,424.41. Don, KA1GOZ, moved, Tracy, N1WIR, seconded a motion to accept the treasurer’s report as presented. The motion carried.
Tracy, N1WIR, membership coordinator, reported a current membership of 132.
Activities coordinator Ed, K2TE, reported he was arranging for a tour of Cushcraft to be held on a “pizza night’ with pizza to be brought in. There was no training report .
Program coordinator Jack, WB4MDC, reported that the April program will feature Mike, NE1V, presenting an introduction to the digital modes. The May program is open and June will be Field Day. Don, KA1GOZ, EC for E-Hills, provided a list of possible communications functions or community activities the ARES/RACES group and club may want to consider in conjunction with Destination Downtown, a group of downtown merchants, city government officials and private citizens. In addition, he noted that Response 98, a regional FEMA exercise involving all of the northeast, is set for April 22. Emergency Management officials in Nashua and Merrimack are planning to utilize amateur radio on that day for communications to state NHOEM headquarters since the exercise dictates that they cannot use phones/faxes/computers.
Under old business, discussion of the storage trailer, now at the Nashua Waste Water Treatment Facility, revolved around the type of lock to be installed after discussion it was concluded that a key lock was the only type of lock that could withstand the weather.
President Mike, NE1V, reporting on Field Day, noted that Fletch, N1MEO, Field Day Incident Commander and Stuckee, has been tasked to organize a committee to look for a new site. Mike also reported that work on the club’s new Internet web site was underway and Webmaster Jim, WW1Y, was putting the finishing wraps on it.
Under new business, Mike volunteered to assemble any club records into an archive for which he would be responsible. On a motion by Don KA1GOZ, seconded by Tracy, N1WIR, the meeting was adjourned.

Treasurer George reported a club balance of $2,395.75 and outlined budget figures. On a motion by Mary Jane, WA4WIJ, seconded by Pauline, KA1LDF, the motion carried. Jack, WB4MDC was opposed.
Membership coordinator Tracy, N1WIR, reported club membership was at 140. Activities coordinator Ed, K2TE, announced that the Cushcraft tour would be held on a pizza night with pizza to be brought in. He had a show of hands that at least 16 were interested in the tour. He also reported there were a number of downtown Nashua activities such as the Block Party June 20, that the club may be interested in participating in, possibly providing communications support.
Vice President Bob, KD1AW, deferred the training report to Gary, W1GRY, who's coordinating a novice course starting April 1 at the Chandler Library and Ethnic Center. It will run Wednesdays from 7 to 9 PM.
Programs coordinator Jack, WB4MDC, reported the April program would be an introduction to the digital modes by Mike, K7CTW. June will be Field Day, but May’s program remains open. Don, KA1GOZ, EC for E-Hills, announced that Response 98, a regional FEMA exercise was scheduled for April 22, and amateur operators are being requested to provide communications during the exercise. He also noted that communications support was being planned for the Block Party. Mark, N1ZYX, GOTAP coordinator, reported he had received his first listing from the ARRL and had made some contacts.
Colleen, N1HAJ, presented the second part of the Bert and Ernie award to “Bert,” alias John, WS1E, along with a T-shirt.
Under old business, Mike, K7CTW, reported that Jim, WW1Y was working on transferring the NARC web site to the N1FD.org domain name.
Mike also announced he was volunteering to collect and archive all of the club records.
Jack, WB4MDC, presented an award to Bill O'Flahaven, N1VBA, for his contributions to Classie Junque. Under new business, Dennis, K1LGQ, announced that the New England QRP Club was having its winter meeting at ARRL headquarters on March 15 and anyone was invited. On a motion by Don, KA1GOZ, seconded by John, WS1E, the meeting was adjourned.
