Treasurer George, WA1DEI, reported a club balance of $2,954.63. On a motion by Don, KA1GOZ, seconded by Ed, K2TE, the treasurer’s report was accepted as presented. Ed, membership coordinator, reported he was updating the membership list and currently there are 116 members.
Activities planned include fireworks at Jaffrey airport Aug. 23, and a picnic/foxhunt Sept. 13. Bob, KD1AW, reported he was continuing to develop a plan for a Novice/Technician class to begin in October.
Jack , WB4MDC, programs coordinator, reported the program for August was amateur TV aboard a radio-controlled aircraft to be presented by Rich Bono, NM1D. September’s program will be nuclear magnetic resonance by Rich, WB2OCR. October is ARES/RACES with SEC Rich Force, WB1ASL and possibly ASM Gary O’Kula, N3CLZ.
Bob discussed the price of non-Rohn tower sections the club acquired.
On a motion by Don, seconded by Jack, the meeting was adjourned.
Following introductions, program coordinator Jack, WB4MDC, introduced Rich Bono, NM1D, for a presentation on amateur television aboard radio-controlled model aircraft.
Following the presentation, president John, WS1E, called the business portion of the meeting to order. He declared the minutes of the previous meeting accepted as published. He also announced a program by Amateur Electronic Supply to provide a purchase percentage to the club for purchases from AES made by club members.
Treasurer George, WA1DEI, reported a club balance of 2,954.63. He also provided an overview of the club’s finances relative to the budget. On a motion by Jack, WB4MDC, seconded by Don, KA1GOZ, the report was accepted as presented.
Membership coordinator Ed, K2TE, reported a membership of 123. He also asked that members renewing both club and ARRL memberships use the application form and indicate their ARRL expiration date.
Activities coordinator Brooks, KC1PD, reported two activities have been planned for August and September. On Aug. 23, a trip to the Jaffrey Airport to view a fireworks display is planned. Cost is $25 per vehicle. The annual club picnic set for Sept. 13, will have a twist, a foxhunt included.
Bob, KD1AW, president of vice, announced he was planning to set up a Novice/Technician class to begin in early October and last for about 10 weeks.
Program coordinator Jack, WB4MDC, announced the September program will be presented by Rich, WB2OCR, on nuclear magnetic resonance.
Don, KA1GOZ, reported on the RACES training class and plans for expanding training to other amateurs.
John, WS1E, noted work is underway to procure a used United Parcel Service 40-foot box trailer for the storage of the club’s Field Day equipment. Also underway is an effort to find an appropriate location to store the trailer.
