Our Next Meeting ...

Jack Warren, WB4MDC

NARC Bottom Feeder

for Programs

“Mr. Oxide”

Yo, Fletch! Thanks for bringing us up to date on NARC’s Field Day plans. And thanks to John, WS1E, and Rex, K1HI, for their presentations on contesting tips and tricks. Wow, are we really going to have that many stations going this year???

July’s program will be brought to us by Jack Warren. It seems as though summer time brings on reruns on TV so Jack thought he’d “rerun” his presentation he gave the club six years ago concerning the design and manufacture of silicon integrated circuits. Jack is employed by Unitrode Corporation in Merrimack, NH, producer of power control ICs. He tells me this will be an elementary explanation of how the physical layout determines the type of transistors and other devices and then he’ll go into a short description of the fabrication process. This will be an extension of Mike Graham’s presentation of silicon crystal production.

You don’t have to be a member of the club to join in the fun. Join us at the Nashua Public Library for the next meeting. Do you have a favorite topic that could be used for a NARC program? If so, tell one of the club’s officers about it.

See you at the meeting! de Jack, WB4MDC
