Field Day

Fletch Seagroves, N1MEO
NARC Incident Commander
and Stuckee

The first (in earnest) planning meeting is over and the second one will be history by the time this issue is in your mailbox. The burning issues on everyone’s mind were:

  1. What callsign were we going to use?
  2. Where is Field Day being held?
  3. Are we going to use battery or have fun?
  4. What’s our category?
  5. What can I do to help?
And the answers are:
  1. N1NH - Number 1 New Hampshire
  2. Same as last year, Buzz, KA1OMJ‘s, apple orchard in Hollis, NH
  3. We are going to have fun! We will be running 100 to 150 Watts.
  4. Our category is still up in the air. It will be above 15A, but we’re still looking for stations and station masters to run them.
  5. Whatever you’d like to do. We need still need station masters for the 10m CW, 6m, 220MHz, 440MHz, 1.2GHz, 10GHz, satellite and packet stations. Setup and teardown people are always needed, including ground crew and tower climbers. There’s plenty for all!
The remaining field day meetings are May 6th, May 20th, June 3rd, and June 17th at 1900 Local. Anyone who wants to be a station master and can't make a meeting can e-mail me at seagrove@n1meo.mv.com. This is going to be the last field day at this site so let’s make it a good one.
