Field Day Wants You


It’s time to start planning what YOU are going to do this year. Why not take on a more active role? Why not try being a station master? It’s fun, and not at all as hard as it sounds. Or learn to climb a tower. Sterling, AK1K, has a training session before field day to get people familiar with climbing and good safety procedures around towers. It takes 10 people to put up a tower, and only 2 of those are climbing.

Then there’s all the equipment needs. Rigs, tents, and computers are all needed to support the 15-plus stations that will be operating the 24 hours starting at 2:00PM local time on Saturday, June 22nd.
