While traveling mobile VE1 in Amherst, Nova Scotia August 21st, Paul, WA1OMM, had a solid QSO with Dave, WB1CMG, on the 224.64 Pepperell Repeater. This was a straight-line distance of 420 statute miles! Paul was also hearing Joel KD1ON and Don KA1GOZ on the 147.045 repeater in Nashua, but as is often the case during the summer months, the Cape Cod repeater on the same frequency was overpowering. Paul had several QSO's on the Cape machine, a distance of close to 500 miles.
