Monthly Club Meetings
The Nashua Area Radio Club holds a regular meeting on the first
Tuesday of each month at the First
Church of Nashua, Google
Map. If the first Tuesday is a holiday, the meeting is held on the second
Tuesday.
Meetings start at 7 PM local time, and are held downstairs. Social time with
coffee and donuts begins at 6:30 PM. Members usually start appearing between
6:30 and 6:45 PM and socialize until the meeting starts.
The general format of the meetings is:
- Introductions - Everyone stands up and introduces themselves. Hams tend
to give their first name and callsign. Non-hams just give first names..
- The program - Every meeting has a presentation topic. Check the club
bulletin for topics. A few meetings always have the same topic:
- December - Club board elections and awards
- January - Project night. Bring in your project for show and tell
- June - Field Day overview
- Club business - It includes:
- Reports from the various committees: Membership, Activities,
Training, Programs, Treasurer.
- Announcments - Import stuff regarding amateur radio.
- Anything else people think needs to be brought up.
Afterwards - Once the meeting ends people socialize for
varying amounts of time. In the late spring, summer, and early fall, a post
meeting gathering is often held at Haywood's Ice Cream on South Main St.
