Let's do it again!
Number One New Hampshire,
When? Where???
- Field Day is Sat & Sun, June 22 & 23
- Setup begins Friday, June 21, 2:00 PM EDT
- Gather at Christopher's Pizza, Hollis, at 12:00 noon, Friday
- Field Day is at KA1OMJ, Buzz Muzzey's place, Ridge Road, Hollis
- On-site frequency is 147.045 simplex
Safety First, Last, Always
- No alcohol on site Friday or Sunday or during setup completion Saturday AM
- Hard-hats must be worn near the towers during setup and teardown
- Listen to the ground-crew chief! She/he is in charge (with the lead climber)
- Must be at least 18 and NARC member to climb towers
- Only experienced climbers
- Watch for guy wires
Tower Raising
- The Tower Boss is In Charge
- The Tower Boss is Experienced
- Hard Hats are a MUST
- On guy wires, two people per guy
- at least one is experienced
- Crew of 10:
- 2 climbing,
- 2 at base,
- 6 on guys
What to Bring
- Food for Soup Kitchen
- They get about 85% of their food Thanksgiving to Christmas. Summertime is very hard for them to make ends meet.
- Boxed Macaroni and Cheese is one of the most needed items.
- Snacks to share with the group
- All kinds of outdoor stuff: Hat, Gloves, Sunscreen, Bug spray,
Rain Gear, Hard-hat, Climbing Belt, Light Coat or Sweatshirt
- Flashlight!
- Long pants, socks and close toed shoes-rough terrain with
lots of poison ivy.
Food!
- Four meals at Chez Don's - No food without a meal ticket!

- For the Nashua Soup Kitchen: Be a "Canned Ham"
- For the overnight operators and other insomniacs-coffee, too.
- We need some easy food for the overnighters-anyone want to cook up something?
What Class?
- We will sign N1NH, 21 Alpha New Hampshire
- We may have more stations on the air
- We will actually enter the contest as whatever we ran
- it doesn't have to match what we signed
What can you do?
Assuming you haven't signed up for too much already...
- Tear-down Crew-please!
- Those who operate overnight may not climb on Sunday!
- Backup/relief operators and loggers
- Loggers need not be licensed!
- Great opportunity to see what Amateur Radio is all about
- Food preparation
- Operator support - Keep em happy and healthy
- Ground Crew / Assemblers / Go-fers
- Backup climbers
- Overnight power and coffee maintainers
I'm not a member. Can I visit?
- Of course! You don't even have to be a ham radio operator
- The public is welcome.
