The Secretary's ReportMinutes from the May 30th ExecutiveBoard meeting and the June 5th Club Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 7:05pm by the President Don, K1EER.
Secretary, Dave KW1DX, reviewed the April minutes as published in the bulletin which were approved as written. It was reported that the club received the renewal notices to schedule the library for the club and board meetings. Dave indicated that he would book the rooms for the coming year, July 2000 to July 2001.
Treasurer, Mark N1ZYZ, reported that the current club balance is $2618.25, while being over budget by $31.88. It was reported that since the t-shirts were not purchased until later this year the revenues from the sales are not showing up in the budget in the months planed but the budget for the year is looking good. A motion was made and voted on to approve the report.
Membership, Dave, N1SUE, reported that the current club membership stands at 182 in good standing. The club has seen a number of members not renewing their memberships but an equal number of new members.
Activities, Colleen, N1HAJ, reported that around a dozen members attended the tour of the Marconi Museum. Tentative plans are being looked into for a tour of the ARRL Headquarters in Newington CT.
Programs, Neil, N1DMA, reported that the June and July meetings would be devoted to Field Day preparation and wrap up. Neil is also looking into having an auction at the August meeting. Don K1EER, volunteered to be the auctioneer.
Field Day: Fletch, N1MEO, reported that the club is currently at 12 Alpha. A review of the current station master list and a site review was gone over. The contract with the Hollis/Brookline School has still not been signed and Neil, N1DMA was appointed gather the necessary signatures and send it.
Old Business: Tee-shirts, Colleen N1HAJ, displayed the tee-shirts and indicated that they would be available for purchase at the upcoming club meetings.
New Business: Don, K1EER, indicated that the club would be able to set up a booth at the Boxboro ARRL Convention in August to promote the club. It was determined that it might be a good idea to staff a table if volunteers could be found. Don indicated that he would look into this.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:35pm.
Introductions were done and the Classie Junque drawing was held. The program was introduced by Neil, N1DMA and delivered by Fletch, N1MEO on the upcoming Field Day. He detailed the layout of the new site, the Hollis-Brookline High School, where the towers will be situated and the mess hall location. There are still stations available that need operators, including the novice station. Dylan, KL0KP talked about the meals to be served and took names for food donations. There will be no alcohol allowed at the Field Day site. This year’s Field Day will be dedicated to Buzz Muzzey who was our host for 9 years until his death this year. Tower school will be held Saturday, June 17 at the QTH of Sterling, AK1K.
The club has 183 members in good standing. The October meeting is being planned as an auction night, the club will receive 20 percent of the winning bid amount.
