“Number Two in the NTS NARC lecture series”

Make sure to check into the September NARC meeting where the clubs own Mike Graham K7CTW will educate the audience about NTS radiograms. The ARRL’s National Traffic System, NTS, provides the back bone for amateur emergency and routine traffic handling. Providing these communications are the charter principle and best known aspect of amateur radio. Back in February Jim Belanger N1NH presented to the group an on the air taped demonstration of the message handling protocol. Mike will complement Jim’s presentation by digging deeper and exploring the actual structure of an NTS radiogram. Also he will explain how to fill out an amateur message form, how to send and receive them on a net, and other specific details. Every Amateur will become a veteran at sending and receiving traffic after this presentation. Please plan to attend this educational meeting.

Special thanks and appreciation to the individuals who contributed to the making of the 1999 NARC Medley Video. Credits go to Jack Warren WB4MDC for being the cinematographer for 1993 - 1998, Don Hornbeck K1EER for recording this year's field day activities, Tracy Banks N1WIR for co-producing, co-editing and story board, Melissa Chevalier as the music consultant, and myself for co-producing, co-editing and story board. Copies of the video will be available at the next meeting for individual viewing. I am in the process of making five of them. Please share these copies among the club members (no fighting please!) Is there an interest in an encore presentation?

You don’t have to be a member of the club to share in the fun. Join us at the Nashua Public Library for this meeting of the Nashua Area Radio Club.

Your favorite topics make next month’s program!! Tell me about them.
