Mike has outlined a some of goals and objectives to accomplish during his tenure:

  1. To ensure that all ARRL Members from New Hampshire are represented at League HQ. To keep the lines of communication open so that ARRL members may voice their opinions on League matters. Similarly, to work with the Division Director and League staff to ensure that matters of importance are relayed as rapidly as possible.
  2. To continue previous SMs practice of visiting all New Hampshire clubs, and foster a spirit of community among the clubs. To continue to promote individual participation in club activities in order to strengthen these clubs and, thus, strengthen the overall health of ham radio within the State.
  3. To continue previous SMs practice of communications with the clubs by personal visits, phone calls, and especially by the use of the NH-ARRL Reflector and e-mail. To ensure that the message gets out that my job is to support each of you individually and collectively as clubs, ARRL affiliated or not.
  4. To build and maintain good working relationships with non-ARRL amateur organizations, such as NHARA. To avoid working at cross-purposes with those organizations and to help ensure that New Hampshire’s amateur community reaps the greatest possible benefits.
  5. To begin preparations for a big and successful ARRL New England Division Convention to be held in New Hampshire in 2001. To form a steering committee to oversee its implementation and success. 6) To explore the possibility of an annual “Town Meeting”, to be held in some central location, for the purpose of discussing issues of importance to NH amateurs.
  6. To promote and encourage NH clubs to become involved in a “Outreach” program geared to the youth of our section, with the goal of fostering an interest in ham radio, electronics, computers, and the sciences, and with a long-range goal of enhancing the technical base of knowledge and expertise here in New Hampshire.
