“NARC DE W1GRY GE ES PSE QNZ VVV NARC QNI QTC”

Make sure to check into the February NARC meeting where Jim Belanger, N1NH, educates the audience about the inner workings of the NTS, the ARRL National Traffic System. NTS’s messaging provides the back bone for amateur emergency communications. Providing communications are the charter principle and best known aspect of amateur radio. An emergency affects everyone in the community. During the winter months blizzards or ice storms occur commonly and hurricanes hit the Northeast every now and then. Someday relaying a health and welfare message may help a friend or family member. Please plan to attend this educational meeting.

The topic of January’s meeting was project night. Special thanks to all club members who contributed. Highlights include Ten- Tec QRP kit demos by Spi, K1CWZ, Matthew, N1ZYY, and Gary, W1GRY. John, WS1E and Rich, W1HZN displayed custom truck and home radio mounts, respectively. Bob, KD1AW, home brewed a 900 MHz amplifier and Colleen, N1HAJ, showed off her beautiful and well-crafted hand made quilt. Thanks to all presenters. Everyone who attended appreciates your effort and sharing your experience.

Remember, your favorite topics can be next month’s program!! Come visit with us and everyone bring some ideas along for new programs. You may talk with me after the meeting, on the air, or via email at W1GRY@empire.net. Hope to hear from you soon.

You don’t have to be a member of the club to share in the fun. Join us at the Nashua Public Library for this meeting of the Nashua Area Radio Club.

Your favorite topics make next month’s program!! Tell me about them.

See you at the meeting! de Gary, W1GRY
