Novice/Tech Class

The Nashua Area Radio Club is sponsoring a Novice and Technician Course for those individuals wishing to upgrade or pursue their Amateur License. The course will be held on Wednesdays, 7:00 to 9:00 PM, from April 1st to June 10th at the Chandler Branch Library, 257 Main St., Nashua. There will be an exam session in Nashua, Saturday, June 13th at 9 AM.

The preferred way to register is by email to gchevalier@isi.com. Please include your name, phone number, and email address. You can also register at the club's web site at http://www.n1fd.org/training.html. Or leave a message for Gary at 603-429-1774 from 9:00 am and 5:00 PM, weekdays only.

The first hour of each class will concentrate on Novice and Technician theory. The second hour will be Morse code practice. This is optional for those not interested in the Novice or Technician Plus class license.

The required text is “Now You’re Talking”, 3rd edition, by the ARRL. If you're interested in learning Morse code, you will also need “Your Introduction to Morse Code”, a cassette tape by the ARRL. The text and cassette tape are available for students through the club (at cost, courtesy of HRO in Salem) for $11.00 and $6.00.

Class size will be limited to 15 so register promptly to reserve your seat. 73’s de Gary W1GRY
