Jim Heedles, WW1Y, the editor for this journal and editor and Webmaster for the NARC site, is, by profession, a programmer and systems analyst. So that second sentence in the paragraph above should come as no surprise to you. Nicely chiseled 3-d boxes border the major interest areas, which include Members Home Pages, Club bulletins spanning the past three years, NARC info, New Hampshire ARRL Field Org info, FCC Resources, ARRL Resources, Exam Resources and Other Useful Links. Oh, and by the way, the really spiffy section is on the Field Day site, photos and stats, data on this year’s participants and up-to- the-minute reporting on current FD status.
It doesn’t take a degree in “Rocket Science” to navigate this site, folks. It’s too bad that more sites are not as clean, logical, and informative as this one. If you have a high- res monitor on your computer and haven’t seen the 360o pan of the site under the title Site Photos - Before “360o pan” on the Field Day page, I think it’s worth the time to view it - nice piece of work. An especially useful piece of editing on that pan photo includes compass marks at the bottom of the “PAN” to give you an accurate view of the FD Site. During FD, Jim keeps running tallies posted to the site, a nice touch for those who can’t make it as a participant. Site address for the uninitiated: http://www.n1fd.org.
Visit it frequently, as Jim updates all sections at least once a week or more often. On a scale of 1 to 100, Jim gets a 99…..he forgot a photo of me.
Next month, we’ll visit the Yankee Clipper Contest Club Web Site for you DX’ers. 73.
