As you may know, in June of 1996,
sent us two 204-BAS 4-element,
20 meter Yagi antennas. The original
arrangement I had with
was that we were to use the antennas for Field Day
and then they were to be sold at a discounted
price. The antennas were subsequently sold
per the deal for the sum of $250 each.
When I had all of the funds and was getting ready to pay
, I was told “not to worry about it”, and to “call it a donation to
the club”. I will be forwarding $500 to the
treasurer for deposit into the club account.
We are very fortunate to get donations like this, and loaners like the radios from Icom. The manufactures turn down requests from other clubs on a frequent basis.
