At a meeting of the Nashua Public Library Board of Library Trustees held on December 5th, the trustees unanimously voted: “...effective immediately, no food or beverages may be served at non-Library sponsored meetings held in Library meeting space.” This holds for both the main library, where the club meetings are held, and the Chandler Memorial Library and Ethnic Center, where the field day planning meetings are held.
While those (most?) of us who only come to the club meetings for the coffee and donuts are devastated by this announcement, we must accept this blow and move on with our lives. Remember, spring is coming and Haywood’s will open again!
